Calling all ex-Douloi who served aboard MV Doulos between 2004 and 2010! We’re planning a reunion aboard Doulos Phos in Bintan, Indonesia, in July 2027. If you’re seriously considering joining us, please fill out the preliminary registration form.

The Doulos we once served on is now Doulos Phos, a ship hotel on Bintan. Here’s a look at the cabins and the spaces where we’ll gather.

2. The ferry to Bintan
Bintan Resort Ferries sails from Tanah Merah to Bandar Bentan Telani (BBT). Times are local: Singapore departures in Singapore time, Bintan departures in Bintan time, which is 1 hour behind. The crossing takes about an hour, so you arrive at about the same clock time you left.

3. From the terminal to Doulos Phos
Doulos Phos
The ship is about a 2-minute drive from BBT, or a 5-minute walk. The hotel runs a shuttle between the terminal and the ship. Please contact the hotel in advance to arrange your pick-up.

- Complete the All Indonesia arrival card online before you arrive
- Visa: some nationalities can enter visa-free (for example ASEAN passports). Others can get the 7-day Riau Islands Visa on Arrival (IDR 250,000) at the Bintan ferry terminal. Please check the rules for your nationality on the official website before you travel.

- Returning to Singapore? Submit the SG Arrival Card within 3 days before arrival

About the reunion
Who is invited to the reunion?
The reunion is primarily for former MV Doulos crew members who served between 2004 and 2010, together with their spouses and children.
When and where will the reunion take place?
We’re planning to reunite aboard Doulos Phos (formerly MV Doulos) in Bintan, Indonesia, in July 2027. The exact dates are still being finalised.
Why are we organising another reunion?
After the wonderful reunion in Mosbach, Germany, in October 2026, we’d love to bring our Doulos family together again — this time aboard the very ship we once called home!
What will the programme include?
We’re still working on the programme, but we’re hoping for plenty of fellowship, worship, shared memories, and time to reconnect. More details will follow.
Preliminary registration
What is preliminary registration?
Preliminary registration helps us estimate how many people are seriously interested in attending. It also helps us negotiate arrangements with Doulos Phos and plan accommodation and activities.
It is not an official booking and does not guarantee a cabin.
Is there a deadline for preliminary registration?
Yes! Please submit your preliminary registration by 20 November 2026 at 23:59 GMT. This will help us finalise arrangements with the hotel before the end of November.
Do I need to pay anything when submitting preliminary registration?
No. Preliminary registration is free and does not require payment.
What if I’m interested but not sure I can attend?
You’re welcome to complete the preliminary registration form and indicate your level of interest. We understand that travelling internationally requires planning!
What happens after I submit the form?
We’ll use the responses to finalise arrangements with Doulos Phos. Once the dates, packages and booking procedures are confirmed, we’ll contact registered participants with further information.
Can I still attend if I miss the preliminary registration deadline?
Potentially, yes. However, accommodation is limited, and early registrants may receive priority when official booking opens. Final arrangements will depend on availability and the hotel’s confirmed booking terms.

How much will the reunion cost?
We’re currently negotiating accommodation packages with Doulos Phos. Our preliminary estimate is approximately IDR 6,000,000 per adult for four days and three nights, including accommodation and meals.

What’s included in the package?
The package is expected to include accommodation, meals, return transfers between the Bintan ferry terminal and Doulos Phos, and access to hotel facilities. Exact inclusions will be confirmed later.
Can I choose my cabin or share with another former crew member?
We hope to offer double, twin, triple and limited single-occupancy arrangements. We’ll do our best to accommodate preferences, subject to availability and final arrangements with the hotel. You can see the cabins on our The Ship page.
Can I bring my children? Will there be discounted rates?
Yes, families are welcome! We’re discussing children’s rates with the hotel and will publish confirmed prices once arrangements are finalised.
Is there a limit to how many people can attend?
Yes. Doulos Phos has an approximate maximum capacity of 200 guests. As accommodation is limited, we encourage everyone interested to complete preliminary registration early.

How do I get to Doulos Phos?
One option is to fly to Singapore and take a ferry to Bintan, Indonesia. Please see our Getting there page for more information.
Will I need a visa to enter Indonesia?
Visa requirements depend on your nationality and passport. Please check our Resources page for useful links to official Indonesian visa and immigration information.
Should I book my flights now?
We recommend waiting until the reunion dates have been officially confirmed before making non-refundable travel arrangements.
Can I arrive earlier or stay longer?
You may be able to arrange additional nights, depending on the hotel’s availability and rates. We’ll provide more information once arrangements are confirmed.
Official booking & payment
When will official booking open?
We’re working with Doulos Phos to finalise the arrangements. Everyone who completes preliminary registration will be informed when official booking opens.
Will I pay the organisers or the hotel?
Our intention is for attendees to make payments directly to Doulos Phos. The Line-up Team will coordinate the reunion but does not intend to collect accommodation payments.
Will I need to pay a deposit?
A deposit is expected to be required to secure accommodation. The amount, deadline and payment terms will be confirmed before official booking opens.
What happens if I need to cancel?
Cancellation and refund conditions will be published once we’ve received the hotel’s confirmed booking terms. Please review them carefully before making any payment.
